GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 

The Bavaria 31 Cruiser has a beamy but straightforward and seaworthy package of essential cruising amenities: head aft, with integral wet locker; large chart desk; compact galley, straight saloon with facing settees; double cabins fore and aft. Three deck hatches on centerline illuminate and ventilate the forward cabin and saloon.

 

On deck, a wide cockpit opens aft where the upper part of the transom hinges down to create a platform one step below sole level. A molded recess that conceals the folded dodger and a seahood molding that covers the control lines led from the mast add to the tidy look of the coachroof. The mast is well forward and the sail plan compensates with a large ovelapping genoa.
